Gossamer Daydreams

Gossamer Daydreams poem begining over photo of clouds in sky
We were gossamer daydreams
Floating lightly on our pillowed backs
Faces to the illumination above
Never looking down
Onto the shadows we cast below
We amorphously merged together
Misted apart
Before commingling again
In new nebulous puffs of reveries
Until the darkening came
This heavy weight could not be borne
And we felt our place in the sky slipping
And we just fell apart
Left one another
Falling in isolated orbs with a trailing tear
So stark in form
Until striking the unknown below
Which absorbed each one of us
Into the soft darkness
Where we met again in old and forgotten ways
Again we intermingled
And in the murk we found a seed
That we embraced while it grew roots
And as it sprouted
It carried us back into the light above
Where we beheld the splendor
That we had once floated over
